Built by one,
kept by few.

Skyfall is not a hospitality business. It is a private reserve that happens to receive guests — built by Steve Rokks, his children, his best friends, and answerable only to the land itself.

A Note from the Founder

We didn't build Skyfall for a market. We built it for the people we wanted to spend the season with — and we kept it that way.

i.  The Founder

Steve Rokks,
Trinidad, Texas.

Skyfall began as a piece of land Steve assembled, parcel by parcel, on the Trinity flyway. He shaped it with intention — the moist-soil units, the flooded timber, the food plots, the road systems, the blinds — and then built a lodge worthy of the country it sits on. The lodge was completed in 2021. The reserve has been worked on every season since.

Steve is not a hospitality operator. He is a hunter who built the place he wanted to hunt, opened it to a small circle of friends, and never quite closed it. The way Skyfall is run today reflects that: one party at a time, no rotation, no upsell, no time slots. The land is yours for the duration. Steve is on property most weeks, and the chefs, guides, and crew are people he picked himself.

ii.  The Guides

The ranges were designed by operators.

The shooting program at Skyfall — every line, every drill, every angle — was designed and is run by close friends of the founder. They are retired Navy SEALs: combat-seasoned operators with the kind of credentials we don't enumerate here, and the kind of stories that stay at the property.

What it means in practice: the ranges are real, the instruction is sober and effective, and the standard is set by people for whom this is a craft, not a hobby. Hunt, range, eat, rest. There is no other party using the property. There is no waiting your turn.
